PROJECT OVERVIEW

EDUCATION

Assist in a charter school library as a one on one tutor for students. Help with chaperoning field trips and planning events held at the library. As a volunteer, you should promote a healthy reading culture and strong study ethic.

COMMUNITY

Work in a community of peace where a space is created for monks to practice their life-long commitment to God/The Source/Creator. Volunteers will have the options to work growing flowers or food for the kitchen, maintaining the grounds, housekeeping, building facilities for the peaceful space and running guided prayer workshops. If you are wanting a sense of calm this could be the project for you. Have the chance to give back by working in a food bank. Your main tasks would be serving, preparing, setting up, cleaning and delivering meals.

SOCIAL WORK

Volunteers will work in homes for the elderly, special care institutions (persons with disabilities), or women's refuge centre. Support and plan leisure activities or therapeutic healing activities such as dancing, artwork, music, fitness and more. Be in control of the household chores (inside and out), meal preparation and cleaning. Unsure that residents are completing daily life tasks and support them where needed.
