Mundo libre
Based in a rural community just outside Lima, this project supports children and youth aged 9–17 who have experienced homelessness or challenging environments. Run by Asociación Mundo Libre, the centre focuses on restoring dignity, building life skills, and creating brighter futures.

Volunteers contribute to health, education, and social support programmes, while gaining hands-on experience and cultural immersion through accommodation on-site or with a host family. With over 40 young people supported, your impact is both real and lasting.
​
Open to volunteers aged 18+ with intermediate Spanish, particularly those with experience working with youth or creative skills.

Located in Barrios Altos, central Lima, this project provides a safe and supportive refuge for children and families who have travelled for critical medical care, including cancer treatment and organ transplants.
​
Volunteers help create a warm, stable environment by supporting daily activities, assisting with educational workshops, and organising recreational programmes for children and parents. You may also contribute to admin and social media, helping the project run smoothly.
​
Volunteers stay on-site and are encouraged to bring empathy, creativity, and a proactive attitude. Basic Spanish is recommended.
Comunidad Sagrada Familia
Based in Ventanilla, north of Callao, this unique “community city” supports at-risk and abandoned children by providing access to education, healthcare, housing, and daily care in a safe, structured environment. Home to around 200 resident children—and supporting up to 1,000 more through its school—this project creates real, long-term impact.

Volunteers live within the community and contribute across a range of areas, including education support, childcare, social work, and recreational activities. There are also opportunities to assist with workshops such as music, carpentry, and sports, as well as community maintenance projects.
​
Open to volunteers with basic Spanish and a willingness to fully immerse themselves in a shared community environment.
