PROJECT OVERVIEW
EDUCATION
Volunteers work with children at daycare centres for low-income families, rural schools, and shelters for socially at risk children. Work usually includes assisting during classes, taking care of the children, playing with them and organising activities. Manual work and help in the kitchen and office are also part of the tasks.
ENVIORNMENTAL
Conservation projects, rural development, and sustainable tourism initiatives are some of the ecological projects on offer. Volunteers will help in fieldwork (reforestation, species documentation, making of trails, animal protection), but also in the office (translation of information, maintenance of websites) or with the environmental education projects for tourists and locals.
SOCIAL WORK
Volunteers will work in homes for the elderly or special care institutions (persons with disabilities). Tasks will include providing company for residents, organising activities and sometimes assisting in physical therapy. You will support in the kitchen work and with other manual labour.
